Sally’s printmaking has been inspired by the landscapes and our journeys through it, both physically and virtually. Her recent work reflects her personal portrait of the landscape; it is influenced by how she sees the world, and her subsequent interactions with it, “ In our daily lives we travel to and fro, crisscrossing here and there, our minds are also engaged in the same process, navigating thoughts and ideas’.
Sally’s prints are built up from successive layers using a variety of different printmaking processes and techniques, including intaglio, collagraph and Chine Colle. The process of layering is essential for developing a unique print of different textures and depth.
Sally has been a member and subsequently voluntary director of the Double Elephant Print Workshop for many years and exhibits within the South West.
